Mayhew Launches Emergency Appeal to Fund Community Care Packages

During the coronavirus pandemic, Mayhew continues to be a lifeline for vulnerable people and their animals. Please find below a call out from them for Your Support!

Today we have launched an emergency appeal to help fund the creation of hundreds of community care packages, which will be delivered to pet owners in need across London or made available to collect from our Home in Kensal Green.

  • We have been inundated with calls from vulnerable people in our local community, who are desperately in need of extra support whilst in isolation and who cannot access essential supplies for their pet.
  • We are currently unable to accept physical donations of food and materials due to the risk of contamination from COVID-19.
  • We therefore urgently need help to buy extra supplies of food, litter and flea and worm treatment to create care packages for those most in need, as our own supplies are running low.

Our services are of vital importance at this time to ensure that people and their pets can stay together in isolation, and be each other’s company and main source of comfort.

Every penny we receive in donations will go towards providing essential food and medical supplies for animals in need.

Our delivery and collection service runs in line with social distancing guidelines, and we are ensuring the safety of Mayhew staff, members of the public and their animals remain paramount at all times.

We are committed to helping people and animals throughout any crisis, large or small – so by donating to our care package appeal, you will be enabling us to make a real difference to their lives.
