Welcome to our Blog,

We are a group of friends that are united by our passion for (you guessed it right!) CATS!

Because we loved reading about cats on the internet we were really keen on putting together a portal not just for our own cats but also as a one stop source on all things cats for our friends and fellow cat lovers.

Our Bloggers & Cats:

Marc keeps the rest of the team organised and heading into one direction.  When he is not working on the Blog Oliver will curl up next to him… Well sometimes he will curl up on the laptop anyway!

Oh and if you are looking for a photographer he is your man! ;D

His Meowjesty King Oliver may look peaceful on this photo but he is also known as the Maker of Mischief!

Iain: He is the other human owned by the mischievous trio OliverNubia & Renegade!

Her Meowjesty Queen Nubia (aka Nubzilla) the Disturber of Peace is known for her noisy roars and stomping as she hobbles through the living room! She may only have three legs but she has the heart of a lion and will not waiver to get what she wants!

Iain does a lot of the editing of our Guest Posts  He is the main person in charge of techy product reviews! He loves vacuum cleaners!!

Native Oregonian Mollie Hunt has always had an affinity for cats, so it was a short step for her to become a cat writer. Mollie is the author of the Crazy Cat Lady cozy mystery series, including Cats’ EyesCopy CatsCat’s Paw, and Cat Call (coming in October 2017). The series features Lynley Cannon, a sixty-something cat shelter volunteer who finds more trouble than a cat in a catnip patch. Mollie is a member of the Oregon Writers’ Colony, Sisters in Crime, and the Cat Writers’ Association. This year she won a CWA Muse Medallion for her 3-part blogpost series, Life Stages. Mollie lives in Portland’s eclectic Hawthorne district with her husband and a varying number of cats. Like her character, Lynley Cannon, she is a grateful shelter volunteer.

  6. raroto says:

I wish i could show off my cat, Petro, but he died 4 years ago. I still miss him. He has a special place in my heart, and there can be no other to replace him. You see, Petro chose me as his companion and we had had a tight bond from the very beginning. I never could bring myself to replace him, and in fact never did find a ‘soul mate’ in all other cats after Petro. Strange, I know, but true.
Ah what am I doing?! I’m rambling like an old granny here when I’m supposed to thank you for the follow, Marc-André! Glad you found me coz now I can have my share of more cat photos! I am definitely following you 🙂

    • Marc-André says:

Thank you so much for following us. And sorry to hear about Petro :(. Not sure what i would do if something was to happen to oli. He chose me the second we met in the charity by putting his paw on me and purring away.

  7. LillianC says:

Hi there! What a wonderful blog! I have 3 cats, a black longhair, a torby, and a gray and white short hair. Thank you for visiting my blog. So glad that led me here!

  8. Author Catherine Townsend-Lyon says:

A Big Sunny Hello from Arizona, USA!
I’m just LOVING all your Pic’s of cats. Yes, my hubby and I have 4 cats. Two are with my best friend on her ranch in So. Oregon, as we had to move to Arizona for a year so my husband can go through meat-cutters school/training. Mr. Buttons & Ms. Calie….

Now, we just adopted 2 four month old kittens from a rescue shelter, and they will go back to Oregon with us. They are a HOOT! This is the 1st time we have had 2 kittens at once. Mr. Boots & Ms. Prissy Princess. She has an attitude, so I had to add Prissy to her name!….LOL.
Cats just bring so much joy to a home don’t they!

Thanks for coming by my blog. I do often do a *Happy Caturday* blog post on the weekends, They sure get a lot of visits when I do. Glad I came by!! I’m a New Fan…

    Author, Catherine Lyon 🙂 🙂

  9. Teagan says:

Thank you for following my blog. I see you don’t have a tortie? Would you like mine? She’s mostly a complete pain, poking her little nose into everything and leaving lots of bits of mouse body parts everywhere. My humans had never had a tortie – mum always had black cats and then inherited 3 persians, which weren’t like proper cats at all… then they got me and then they rescued Pickle, or perhaps more correctly, rescued Pickle’s 80 year old owner who couldn’t cope with her. Nobody told us about torties… they should come with a health warning.

    • Marc-André says:

LOL! Yeah naughty tortie’s can be a pain xD. My friend has one and she may look cute and innocent but well you know the rest of the story xD. I’d love another cat but I think Mr Oli and Ms Nubes may get jealous ;). Happy to feature your kitties as our guest stars on the blog btw 🙂

  10. bluebunny01 says:

How wonderful – I look forward to reading the blog! We have no self control when it comes to cats – we have 7 – mainly rescues – all unique characters.

  11. annabellefranklinauthor says:

Thank you for visiting me, Millie and Pearl – I love it when cat people follow our dog blog. I am trying to convince Millie and Pearl that all animals are equal – and equally lovable – but sometimes it’s an uphill struggle!

  12. A.PROMPTreply says:

Wow. A whole blog about cats! Now that’s an awesome approach! Popped over to thank you for the follow on my own blog and got caught up perusing all these lovely pix and stories (love how they’re told from the perspective of the cats!) Excellent! You’ve got another fan in me!

  13. newsferret says:

Hi Marc, sorry to bug you but I am dog and cat and animal crazy. On Facebook I daily a publish pic of our dogs and the masters of the house – yes, the cats – Facebook link is Hermann Hanekom

    • Marc-André says:

I shall check out your Facebook page and follow it :). We have a fairly large page on Facebook so can always do a share 4 share ^^. And feel free to send us stories of your kitties for reblogging

  14. kleclair says:

Such a cute blog! I’ll be following to get updates of your adorable kitties. 🙂 The calico you posted last reminds me of my own cat! Thanks for stopping by my blog and liking my paintings!

    • Marc-André says:

Thank you very much for coming over to our blog and glad you like it :). If you got any cat related news you would like us to reblog drop me a message hehe. 😀

  15. neuroticocomic says:

What a great looking blog you have here! I can’t wait to check it out in more detail. Miss Dixie is a wild looking cat with that black patch on the left side of her face. 🙂 Thank you for following my blog!

        • Marc-André says:

Haha that’s ok :). We don’t hate dogs in fact we have a guest star “puppy” (if you can say so for Labradors lol) in our guest category hehe. If your friend has any photos or stories to share feel free to send them in to us 😀

  16. silverliningsanddustbunnies says:

Thanks for dropping by my little Montana blog. I LOVE your blog, and have reciprocated the follow. Beautiful pictures and awesome captions!

  17. wisemonkeysabroad says:

Thanks so much for swinging by our blog 🙂 We have ducked back to check out your blog and wonder whether cats and monkeys can be friends 🙂 Of course they can!! Pleased to meet you.

    • Marc-André says:

Thank you :). And yeah I think I still have a cute holiday shot somewhere of a monkey checking for fleas and ticks for a cat in Japan :o. I’ll send it over if I can find it ^^

  18. mynuttydubai says:

Hi there! Thanks so much for visiting and following my blog! I hope you enjoy some of the cat posts I do 🙂
Love the idea of your blog… definitely going to spend some time having a look around!

  19. Emy Will says:

    Hi Marc-Andre.
Thank you for following my blog FUR OUT THE CLOSET. You must love all animals?
This led me to your wonderful world of cats. I look forward to the light relief of reading your future posts.
    Paws,
    Emy <3

  20. sakuraandme says:

HI, thanks for stopping by my blog.
I adore cats and especially my own. Lol Her name is Sakura, but she answers to Princess. Hahaha
She’s like a child to me. I love that you all love cats so much. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
    Hugs Paula xx

  21. LillianC says:

When my weary spirit needs refreshment, I can come here and enjoy all the photos and stories of so many wonderful cats. I see you’ve been visiting my blog again. Thank you so much!

  22. Tracesofthesoul says:

What a lovely blog…so many beautiful felines!! Thank you so much for following my blog, I am truly honoured. And my BFF (best feline friend), Bette is most appreciative as well, Oliana

  23. Spira says:

Thanks for stopping by the Fury friends post and following the blog. Actually one of the two ladies of Madame Butterfly is an animal activist, so she will be glad to hear about you.
To tell you the truth, I am setting up their blog at WordPress as a surprise for them; hence the 28 hours straight to make it before they return from their weekend trip!!!
Thanks again and wishing all the best to you & your cats.

  24. unexpectedincommonhours says:

Thank you for the follow. I love your post about the rescued Manx. All of the cats we’ve had for the past 25 years have been rescue cats. Our only cat now is 18 years old and was a rescue kitten when we got him. He refuses to go outside and has only been out twice in 18 years. The outside cat you saw in my post is our neighbor’s cat who stays at our house quite a bit.

    • Marc-André says:

Awwww. All of our own cats are rescue cats as well. :). And it’s good to see I’m not the only one who has a rescue cat that hates the outside world. In fact Olive rid terrified by the big world beyond the door haha

  25. Iris says:

This blog is the cutest one I have ever stumbled upon. I was having a bad day today, but your pictures definitely helped turn that around. Thanks for that. =)

  26. Cha Annie says:

One thing my dash was definitely lacking… CATS!
Thanks so much for the follow, loved checking this out and looking forward to seeing more in the future!
Keep up the great work and stay wonderful xx <3

  27. TheLastWord says:

Oh dear, you are following the blog SloWord and we are confirmed non-catty people! I wonder if that’s why you are following it.

    Thanks for the follow 🙂

  28. Hemingway and Shakespeare says:

Thanks so much for finding our blog and liking us. We really appreciate it. We love meeting fur people and their humans from all over the world. We showed Mom your blog and she loved the article on Dodger. Thanks for loving us fur people!!! 🙂

  29. aquicksmile says:

There you are! I realised I wasn’t getting posts from you and it seems I had lost you 🙁 but found you again and looking forward to enjoying your posts. Hurrah.

  30. writeonthebeach says:

Hi there and thanks for visiting and following my blog. Hope you don’t think I dislike cats…I don’t. I just can’t cope with seven or eight feral ones. Loved some of your posts …made me yowl 🙂

    • Marc-André says:

Haha. I think my love of cats may be slightly stretched with 7 of them as well ;). These two already demand sufficient amount of attention :). Thanks for checking out my blog too ^^

  31. lifehelps says:

    Hello, Mark,
Thank you for liking “Baby Buddy” on lifehelps. Given that it’s another cat story, sad to say, another one about one who was dumped, you might like “Priscilla’s Story” on lifehelps as well. She is my cat.
I enjoyed reading the story about the overweight cat on your home page: Cute! Nothing like a baby brother to get the big boy in shape!
    Hannah

  32. Elouise says:

This could be addictive! The pictures and comments about them are all so heartwarming. Thanks for the like today–and for leaving your little pawprint so I could find you!
    Elouise, for Smudge

  33. Tina Blackledge says:

It is nice to see and read about a lighthearted subject. I love animals and feel they are the best medicine for our weary souls. I am more of a dog person but I love all animals and will enjoy your site. Thank you for visit to Peaks and Valleys.

  34. Veronica Haidar says:

Just to say thank you for checking out my blog and for the follow. We’re a very feline-friendly household. Smudge and Scamp send whisker twitches and tail waves to Nubia, Oliver, Mao and Snowball – or at least they would if they weren’t out in the back field defending hearth and home from the local mice and Other Cats.

  35. Uncle Spike says:

    Hey there Newbie Spikey!
(for your info, a Spikey is the term for folk who are part of the clan known to be followers of Uncle Spike 🙂

I wanted to catch up and say “thank you… I really appreciate your ‘follow’ as I for one, know how many interesting and entertaining blogs are out there.”

Blogging since June 2013, my aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at basic photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on the farm. Oh, plus a few observations, opinions and lighter-hearted stuff thrown in for good measure.

I normally keep to a couple of posts a day, maybe 3-4 at weekends if I have something special to share. But if you are at a loose end one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too. I have added plenty of categories to help in said digging process.

Thanks again and hope you have a great day…

    UNCLE SPIKE

  36. argentodtw says:

thank you for following me and for liking my post.
yet, sadly, as you might have noticed, the bed in the header of my post is empty.

I am a 32 year old man and my 20 year old brother Mikki, whom I received at age 12 after “fighting” with my family to keep him after I managed to rescue him,
was given the gift of mercy due to his terminal kidney illness….damn it’s in the last four months but I am not even able to tell when this happened anymore. :'(
A piece of me went away and will never come back -imagine: I GREW UP with Mikki for most of my life; every single happy moment had to do with him-.

I would so much love to read your blog and follow advices to take care of him, but he is not here anymore.
Maybe to read about cats will help me cope with my loss that I, still, even if I am a big 1.92 meters tall man, cry out several nights a week.

  37. 'ter says:

Aha, it’s the sCat man again – so you liked 0032 – I thought I might be “seeing” you again although to be honest I thought I might be “seeing” you chasing me round the garden with a bit of 2 x 4 – I wasn’t sure how you’d take my smoooth pussy!!

However, I am very pleased to note that you have a sense of humour and are purr’cipient enough to know that it was all purr’fectly harmless and that you won’t be forcing me to wear purr’dah or purr’chasing a purr’gative from a purr’veyor of such items and purr’suing me in the purr’lieus where I purr’ambulate in order to force me to swallow said purr’gative in order to purr’ge my purr’fidy and thus damn me to purr’dition – or purr’haps you will allow me to ‘paws’ a moment and put it another way:

Thanks for the like – Cheers – ‘ter !!

  38. Lynn Patra says:

Hi Marc-André! Thank you for following my blog. I enjoy what I see so far on your blog and look forward to more amusing and informative posts about cats. Such fascinating creatures! 🙂

  39. raveburbleblog says:

Thanks for dropping by raveburbleblog. Having recently become a servant to a Maine Coon, I’ve been rather taken aback by what a following this particular breed has. And as I’ve gotten to know my little tree-bear, tunnel-monster (another post that is on its way shortly), I sort of feel like I’m living with a feline furry bear and can see why people are so mesmerized by them. I’ve really done it now! Truly, I am smitten and in for all sorts of trouble. What have I done??!!

  40. syl65 says:

Hello Marc and the gang, I nominated you all for The Inspiring Blogger Award. You don’t have to do anything, just letting you know that you are appreciated 🙂

  41. coffeegrounded says:

Thank you for your visit. You know, with Christmas right around the corner, could you find it in your heart to gift me that beautiful Tuxedo? I can gift you a few Texas squirrels, opossum and some fishing worms. I know my gift falls short, but have pity upon me. Tuxedo’s are extra special to our family. 😉

  42. Harold Knight says:

Thank you for seeing my posting about my dear Groucho – and for following my blog. I will be delighted to follow your blog – knowing there are cat lovers who will be interested in my two rmaining cats, Chachi and Joanie.

  43. crumpledpapercranes says:

I am very happy to have come across this blog. I adore cats, although my living situation currently prevents me from finally getting one. In the meantime, I think your blog will do well in bringing cheer and knowledge through your pictures and posts. Thank you for putting this project together!

(And thank you for checking out my blog. The 500 Cats Project is a great motivator for me.)

  44. c_in_b says:

Thanks for the like of Feeling Safe. I enjoyed reading some of the cat stories on katzenworld. One of the few regrets on traveling is having to leave our cat Marissa behind. Now that we stay in the Cihangir neighborhood of Istanbul, there are many cats around. My daughter’s first facebook posting on arrival was a photo album of 29 pics of cats in the neighborhood. Cheers.

  45. New Earth Paradigm says:

Hello Katzenworld — thanks for the follow and all the likes. Love the kitties. When my husband and I moved to Morocco in April, we had to find a new home for our precious Merlina. We placed her well and yet it is so hard to leave them once you are that attached. We now live in a place that has lots of cats — both cared for and strays. Animals are treated very differently here and not so many are pets. I admire them all from a distance but I haven’t let my heart engage with them — too much. Wonderful to see all the happy kitties on your site. Blessings, Alia

    • Marc-André says:

Thank you so much for popping over to our Blog too. :). And yes i know what you mean. I am not sure if I could move somewhere where I wouldnt be able to take my little babies!

  46. batgurrl says:

Luv our Maine coon kitties Reggie and GiGi so this is right up our alley. Of course I am a crow lover too – much to the distress of Reggie. Thanx for stopping by my humble blog on crows and the occasional kitty thing. Robin

    • Marc-André says:

You are very welcom 🙂 and thanks for checking out ours too ^^. If you fancy doing a guest story about your kitties on my blog you are welcome to do so btw! 🙂

  47. Imivai says:

    Hi there,
Why is your page called Katzenworld? Sounds like a German-English mash up. Did you just like the sound or do you have any relations to Germany?

    • Marc-André says:

Haha thats a good question! I’m originally from Germany and wanted something that sounded German but yet similar enough for the english speaking world to understand it. 🙂

  48. ghostmmnc says:

Hi, just dropping by to say thank you for following my blog! It is very much appreciated! I’m following back, because, well…cats!! (we have 4) Can’t wait to read more…and that picture of the giant kitty…Yes!!! 🙂

  49. pix & kardz says:

hello there Marc-André. looks like a purr-fect kind of a blog! thanks for following pix & kardz. how cool is that.

Timmy, our resident and handsome 8-year old feline, has been with us for almost 2 years and he writes a guest post on my blog on the first Tuesday of every month. if you would like a rewrite of any of those posts as a contribution to your blog, he would be delighted to do that 🙂

for your reference, i have included the url for his first guest post from January 2013.

    • Marc-André says:

Thank you! 🙂 So glad you like our blog.

The link doesn’t seem to show if you could re-post it? But of course we would be very happy to include a guest feature! 😀

      • pix & kardz says:

am actually not all that tech-savvy, so i just assumed that it could be reposted. if you prefer, it could be re-sent as a guest post, if you like. it would be a thrill to have him put in a guest appearance here. feel free to send me an email or else you can just use the feedback/comments link on my blog 🙂

thanks and keep up the great job! 🙂

  50. Kendra S says:

Hey! Thanks for the blog follow. I’ve had cats for most of my life, though I’m currently catless. So I look forward to poking around here!

    Kendra

  51. JUNO's VIEW says:

Thanks for liking and following my Strengths Revolution blog hosting my podcast show. It is very different from my Juno’s View blog but I hope you find material of interest when you drift by it. It felt like another good personal space to reflect on the recent death of Juno and what she had given to me in her all too short life.

    • Marc-André says:

Don’t worry these cats are dog friendly 🙂 in fact in some of our tummy rub tuesday’s like today and last week you will find friendly blogroll visits of canine friends. 😀

  52. thisendoftheswamp says:

Thanks for stopping by my blog. We are down to one cat – Sir Edmund; a.k.a Eddie. His two hobbies seem to be eating, and yelling for somebody to open the door to the back room because he is too fat to go through the cat flap.
We also have a big, floppy momma’s boy dog named Blazer. He is a pit bull-greyhound cross, which is a mating that must have come with an instruction sheet.

  53. Sandee M. says:

Thank you for the follow on 40somethingFTB and liking my reflections on losing my sweet Eliza. You have a quite a crew here! Oliver is oh-so-handsome (though perhaps he is aware of that). love the kitty-bunny alliance story, and what wonderful expressions on Angel’s face!

    • Marc-André says:

Thank you Sandee 🙂 and yes we have a big gang here now haha. I have Oliver and Nubia, Yuki has snowball and Mao, Lisa and angel belong together and my sister and zelda are another blogging duo! Plus all our guest bloggers 😀

  54. Angie Mc says:

What an awesome team effort! Thanks for connecting with me at Family Life Is More via Dear Maizie and YES I love cats! We have, and have had, many pets in our family yet my cats are my beloved. Currently Leon THE Fat Cat makes me laugh and smile. I really should do a blog post about him 😀

  55. jacquesdogblog says:

Thank you for following Jacques’ Dog Blog! You have quite the international crew creating this fantastically purrrfect blog! We look forward to keeping up with your many adventures (or should it be misadventures?)! 🙂

  56. abbylynn says:

Thanks for liking my posts on PK. If I were home with him more, I’d probably write about him more often … someday, maybe. You have a great site.

  57. Karl says:

Hi, thanks so much for taking a look and following my blog. I look forward to sharing Tummy Rub Tuesday photos/stories with you. I’m very glad our paths crossed. My wife Julie and I have some very active and well photographed cats who are nice enough to let us share their living space (well, most of the time).

    • Marc-André says:

Thank you Karl ^^. Looking forward to your entries for TRT :). And I know what you mean about “let you share” sometimes I wonder if it is our bed or the cats bed!!! LOL

    • Marc-André says:

🙂 thank you for stopping by mine too! And I like doggies too ^^ one of my sisters has a Labrador who once was featured on here on a rare day my cat blog featured a dog haha!

  58. TheDailyScrap says:

I am nominating you for Creative Blogger Award. You do not have to accept it if you do not wish. You have a wonderful blog and have been wonderfully supportive of The Daily Scrap. I am currently working on the Award post, so the award image will be available soon.

  59. blueinsomniak says:

Hi there, thank you so much for finding my little blog and making the decision to follow. I appreciate it very much. I am excited to read and learn all about Queen Nubia, King Oliver, Mao-Sama, Snowball and Angel.

Thanks for taking the time to check out “The Cow Docs”. I’d have to say I’ve never quite seen so much about cats in one place, but it looks like you have a good time with it.

  61. Muzzy says:

    G’day Mark-Andre.
I just popped in to thank you for your visit and follow, both very much appreciated, now if you’ll excuse me for a while I’m going to tip toe through your pages to check out your four legged friends, to see if they are as cute as my beautiful Butterfly (because of her face and ear colouring. 😉

Thanks for having a look at my blog and following/ liking it as well! As much as we love cats, keeping them is not practical when you have dogs (Panda the Border Collie is not so fussed on them either) mostly due to living on the farm. Our daughter has a cat though. Her name (the cat that is) is Maybelle and she is beautiful and friendly and has the most unusual meow.

BTW I was reading one of the other comments about the reason for the name of your blog and you mention being from Germany originally. To be quite honest, I looked at the name and my brain automatically split the word up into Cat Zen World!

    • Marc-André says:

LOL. I never thought about that it transfers to cat zen world. I suppose the meaning still works hehe 🙂 glad you enjoy the blog and do let your daughter know that I feature guest stories if she’d like to post about her cat ^^

  64. icelandpenny says:

My thanks to Marc-André & the team for following my blog. I must warn you that it does not always feature cats, but I do love moggies (and have one of my own, still semi-feral after all these years), so they sneak in from time to time. Phyllis, my Tuesday walking companion, & her husband have just acquired two new kittens, so cats are definitely in our minds & hearts.

  65. Re says:

Very interesting blog you have. Thanks Marc for the follow and like. One of my blogger friend, Nia, is also crazy about cats and keeps posting about them, will send you the link in my next interaction with you. Happy Sunday Marc and team and the cats. 😉

  66. jezjohn says:

Naturally I love that you have a blog dedicated to cats, my wife and I love them too and in fact have 3 cats instead of children!…much easier (thanks for following my blog, there are plenty more kittie pics to come. Am in the process of putting a book together of city cats)

    • Marc-André says:

Oh! Let me know when your book is ready. And if you fancy doing a guest post happy to feature a story of your kitties. 🙂 we also run a weekly photo share on Tuesday’s 😀

      • bowmanauthor says:

Oh, I would love that! Molly is the social media specialist for my editing company. Video is on my blog. I couldn’t attach to tweet so I sent picture. She’s also a character in my latest book. All 6 lbs of her! She’s 15 years old and plays like a kitten. We are blessed. Your cats are so beautiful. They’re Molly’s cousins! Oh wait, I had a pic in my latest newsletter about Molly’s relatives coming to visit. They’re weren’t cats. I’ll tweet pic. As you can probably tell I’m a little older so technology in communication is sketchy. Publishing books…no sweat!

  67. Dr. Rex says:

I just found this … sorry for the delay!! Thanks for stopping by “It Is What It Is” and the follow. I hope you enjoy your visits there!! Peace …..

  68. timhammill1 says:

Hey Marc, “Nice site”. As a beginner in blogging and writing I’ll be muddling my way through this for a while. My purpose in my blog is to post my cats, that’s Max, his adventures as he has described them to me. He always manages to get into trouble and frankly some of his stories are a bit over the top. I hope you’ll stay tuned and comment as I muddle through it. Thanks Tim Hammill…

  69. WagginMaster (aka Jerry) says:

    Marc-André,
Thank you for following our blog. I hope the tales of our travel, work and play will keep you amused. We travel with two fur babies – Cody, our 11 year old Golden Retriever, and MeiLing, our 3 year old Chinese Crested. Our third pet, Patches – our Calico, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge a couple of months ago.

  70. pennedbymercy says:

Loving the blog, Marc! Thanks for stopping by mine 🙂 You guys have any tips on wooing stray kittens? I’ve already made a connection with them by offering food (they cleaned up the plates to my joy) and by basically making a spectacle of myself…

    • Marc-André says:

Ah I haven’t had stray kittens myself but one of my friends took in two barn kittens. How old were they when you took them in? The younger they were (obviously not too young to be away from their mum!) the easier they get used to human contact. Generally best to give them gentle strokes. Loads of playtime (teasers, feathers etc) and as you already said food! Be careful that that they don’t associate your hands with being a toy though. If they bite, clamp and scratch your hand best to stop the playtime and say a firm no / show them the hand as if you are saying stop to a child. (Sorry for the warning bit but it’s a habit that can be difficult to get rid of later on 😮 ). Let me know if you need more tips or help ^^

  71. FreeMurrli says:

Thank you for liking my blog The Meow Factor. Of course, I follow you back. My cat, btw, is called Murrli Katzenberger.

Since when have you been writing this blog? 🙂

  72. donalclancy says:

Thank you for the follow. You earned me a new trophy as my 200th follower on a blog that I set up for personal musings, with no ambition to be followed! That has made my day.

I may even post more cat poetry!

  73. learningtocry says:

Thanks for the like Marc-Andre. This is a good site for a first time cat owner like me. Useful information from seasoned cat owners is always welcome to me. The Katzenworld blog will make fun reading!

  75. Grace Thorson says:

I love anything that has to do with cats, so I really, really enjoy the tidbits on your blog. Especially, on Japan – I stayed in Tokyo for a month, but didn’t know that cat cafes ever existed (I was so disappointed). I’m hoping to live in Japan someday, and next time, see one for myself.

By the way, thanks for following my blog!(:

    • Marc-André says:

Oh! You’ll love today’s post 🙂 it’s another look at one of my favourite cat cafes hehe. We travel quite often to Japan as my partner used to work as English teacher there.

  76. Susan says:

Thank you so much for the follow. I don’t always post about my cats, but they are a huge part of my life so they do creep into my blog-posts from time to time. I love your website – so much interesting stuff to read! I’m looking forward to reading more.

  77. junny says:

  79. irmi says:

Hello to you, Marc-André. You “liked” my comment today at Celi’s Ktichengarden, so I hopped over to your blog / site. I love it. Cats, oh my. So nice and lovely photos. I once had two of them (males). The one I lost as 5 yo due to diabetes – I never knew where he got it from. But as a fact he felt a bit jealousy when I brought home my second one – a little vivacious and cuddly one, very self-confident. This maybe frightened the other one. I tried to give him all my love, but he had no chance: the second one alsways won. Nevertheless they loved each other very much, sleeping side by side and the elder one let the younger suck on his belly. So lovely. I lived with the second one 14 years. A beautiful time. He became my best friend then…
Wish you all the best, Marc-André. Have a great time. Many regards from Central Europe (i.e. Munich) to the British Isles. Enjoy your cats! Purr…
PS – How come that your blog is named “Katzen”-World and not “Cat”-World?

    • Marc-André says:

Thank you irmi! If you ever fancy doing a guest story for us you are more than welcome. 🙂 as for the name… I’m originally from Germany and moved to the UK for work in 2007 hehe 😮

      • irmi says:

So you knew – because of my name – that I’m from Germany, didn’t you? That’s maybe why you “liked” my comment at Celi’s? Seems that you’re doing well over there in London :-). – Good luck furthermore, viel Glück und gute Nacht!

          • irmi says:

Haha, same thing my brother said when he once was in France. But you can learn how to make good surdough bread from Celi’s blog. To be honest: I myself did not try yet (don’t need it, can buy it here) – but why not give it a go and make your own . 😉 Nite to your cats, too!

          • Marc-André says:

Haha I do some backing 🙂 work would love it if I brought in German cheese cake every day. 😉 and the kitties are saying thank you 😀

  80. litebeing says:

Hello. Thank you for the like and for following my blog. You have an interesting niche blog here. I don’t have a cat but I used to have a daschund, Lady, who wouldn’t tolerate cats. Sadly, she crossed the rainbow bridge last August, and I miss her tons! Here’s to a purrfect day for all of you. Cheers, Margie

Thank-you so much for visiting my blog and for the follow. I love your blog! I am an ex cat owner. I had three cats who all lived to a grand old age. I don’t have any animals now – both my younger daughter and I have developed an allergy to pet hair!

  87. lghoelson says:

You have a house of happy cats, I will stop back another day. I have a picture of our old cat Wideload on my site, will have to add Princess to it. Good meeting you.

  89. Haylee says:

Thanks for following my blog. 🙂 I still miss my two cats (Hobson and McRae) so I’ll certainly be checking in to get a kitty fix! Incidentally, McRae was the spitting image of Oliver – black (and white) cats are the best (imo)!

  90. Kim G says:

Cool Blog! Though I’m a long time cat lover, I am currently catless. My last cat, Pandora, died in October. May she rest in peace. https://gringosuelto.wordpress.com/2015/10/17/may-she-rest-in-peace-goodbye-to-pandora/

And her brother, Jason Walker, died in September of 2013. https://gringosuelto.wordpress.com/2013/09/04/in-memoriam-jason-walker/

Since I’m on the cusp of doing a lot of travel, it’s not the right time for me to adopt a new kitty. And of course, I’m not sure I’m through grieving for my two lost cuties.

But I may enjoy some vicarious cat ownership via your blog.

I don’t know how you found me but I’m glad you did ! You’re my 2nd cat blog that I’ve find fun and entertaining.. Maybe Buddy Foster from Foster Cats Chat purred in your ear ?

What’s funny is, I own a dog but he stalks birds just like a cat and he’s a pretty good mouser too.. He even wiggles his butt up in the air like a cat just before springing into action.. And you should see the dirty look he gives me when I stop him when he could’ve made the catch.. Maybe Stewie, my dogcat can be an honorary cat member ? And he loves belly rubs..
Thanks for following me, I’ve joined your party and happy to be entertained !

Thanks for stopping by the Swamp. I’m afraid that other than refusing to use the cat flap if The Squire and I are in the kitchen to open the door, Sir Edmund doesn’t have any “cute quirks”. He used to be a great climber and jumper, hence the name, but he’s absolutely ancient, and usually just spends his time occupying whatever chair you want to sit in. And he talks – a lot!

Hi, friends! Thanks for stopping by to like my post on the “origins” of cats, Marc-Andre. I’m glad you alerted me to your blog! It’s wonderful and beautiful. I could (and do) watch hours of cat videos, so you’ve got the right person here!

      • randyjw says:

Thank you, Marc-Andre. Other than fascination and awe of these amazing animals, both large and small, I couldn’t be a pretender to the expertise of your featured guests in these fields. The offer is outstanding, though, and I’m honored that you made mention of it. In fact, I just got an answer from one of your guest posters to a question I almost just asked you in this reply. Amazing — “My” little feral and I send our love to you and all good cat people out there, everywhere! Thanks for your dedication!

Hello, I am Frances. I am from South Wales but thanks to my husband I now live in New South Wales, Australia. I have five beautiful cats in my home…..Pixie, a black and white tuxedo-marked siamese; Milllie, a little blue burmese who is 20 years old and still fit as a fiddle (fingers crossed); 5 year old Book who is a smallish Norwegian Forest cross and slightly younger sibling Tinkerbell who is a large Norwegian Forest cross and Patch, a beautiful, around 11 year old, large calico who unfortunately has what has been diagnosed as feline leukaemia but is still fit and happy. We unfortunately lost our tiny Wedgie, Riften, a few weeks ago to a flea infestation of which I was not aware. My daughter and I are absolutely heartbroken over her loss and I am carrying major guilt over it. On a happier note I love all my cats dearly and they are very spoilt. They are not allowed outdoors sadly because firstly I dont want to lose them (we have horrid paralysis ticks here) and ,secondly, I dont want them to decimate the wildlife. . .
