Simon and his brother, Ellery, are two lucky kitties. About two years ago, early one morning, my niece was out jogging with her dog. He pulled on the leash, and refused to pass by an out building on the high school grounds. She allowed him to guide her to the back of the building where she found a large cardboard box. Inside the box were four small kittens. Had the dog not brought her to the box, all four would have died from the heat! She called her Mother to come get the box of kittens. After getting a clean bill of health from the veterinarian, they were ready to find their forever homes.

My friend decided it was time to get a new kitty, as her previous cat had crossed the rainbow bridge a year earlier, at 21 years of age. When she saw the kittens, she immediately fell in love with Simon! I talked her into taking another one, as I do believe kitties do better with a companion. That’s how Simon and Ellery came to live with my friend, and begin their wonderful lives, being spoiled and loved each and every day.
Simon always shows his belly! He also loves to sit up on his haunches, like a squirrel, but I have never been able to capture that pose!
