Hi everyone,
This time we went to the Annual Awards of International Cat Care.
The charity presented Easy to Give Awards, Cat Friendly Awards, Distance Education Awards, plus awards for the winners of ‘The Beauty of Cats’ Photography Competition.
Launched at the event was the charity’s 2016 calendar, featuring the 12 stunning winners from the photography competition. Framed prints of the winning pictures were also on display and were sold in a silent auction which raised over £2,400 for the charity.
The event was held at the beautiful Kensington Roof Gardens and luckily it was sunny on the day! 😀
The event was well attended and of course we got to do loads of mingling with like-minded people. 🙂
They had a fantastic amount of merchandise available including their new calendar, cards and of course the Bluffer’s Guide to Cats! We secured you all a few of their calendars for which we will be running a giveaway soon. 😀
We really loved all of the winning calendar entries and it must have been very difficult to choose these! At the event we were able to place silent bids on large printed versions of these photos with proceeds helping the work of the charity.
I really would have liked to win one of these but I don’t think my two would agree with other cats on the wall. 😉
Of course loads of awards were being handed out at the event and we were especially pleased to see that the SureFlap automatic microchip feeder that we previously reviewed won one of them!
Now for those of you that have been wondering about the Flamingo in the first photo… Yes there were real Flamingo’s close up!
I wonder how Oliver would have reacted if he had met one of them. 😮
And as the grand final of today’s post please watch their video on what the charity is all about!
We hope you enjoyed the photos from the event and are looking forward to hear more about the charity in future posts!
Oh and please do sign up to our Newsletter.
