Purrsday Poetry: Le chat

Hi everyone,

Please find below the latest entry in Purrsday Poetry by Léa.

Le chat

They call her

Total lack of moralitié

She prowls about

Mon village

Sampling all the treats

On offer

Living by instinct

Reality not judgment

Despite nine lives

She knows how quickly

Today becomes the past

Her time is not to be wasted

Taking her pleasure

As she finds it

Satiated she moves on

In front of the fire

Her rough tongue

Traces a map of pleasure

Washing, always washing

Body memories – retracing her passion

She sleeps

Perchance to dream

When I first saw that cat, I just couldn’t resist. C’est la vie!

This weekend there is the annual art festival in the village where I discovered this amazing feline. I shall keep my eyes open and camera ready! Thank you for sharing the poem and most important, the photo. Léa

Stunningly well-penned by a real poet. Excellent work. I love the whole thing! And, this is written by someone who TRULY understands cats. Five star piece!
