What is National Black Cat Day?
National Black Cat Day serves as an opportunity to help reverse the stigma against black cats that they are somehow evil or bad luck.
It is also a timely reminder that black cats are often harmed leading up to Halloween due to this undeserved belief.
Unfortunate Facts about Black Cats
- According to the RSPCA it takes 30% longer to rehome black cats compared to tabby cats and 57% longer compared with ginger cats
- Black cats are less desirable to adopt because they less photogenic than other cats
- Black cats are often harmed and abused leading up to Halloween due to their reputation as being evil or bad luck
What is Wire Fence doing to help
100% of the profit made by Wire Fence on the 27th of October will be donated to a charity that supports the welfare of black cats.
