Hi everyone,
Please find below a Guest Post from Catherine Lingg:
I suffer from severe depression and am alone except for my two kitties.
My Princess is very, very intelligent.
Like no cat I’ve ever had almost 60 years of being a cat mom. On one occasion I had reached the end of my rope and was contemplating taking my life.
Princess is a big mama’s girl and very attached to me.
I was sobbing in my bed and in utter despair. This girl would not leave me alone. Short of doing a tap dance on my face, she poked, prodded, Sat on me. Pawing at my face and meowing incessantly. Needless to say, I’m still here.
She made me think of what would happen to her and her adopted sister Rosie if I were no longer here to care for them.
They both need special food preparation, medicine and Princess suffers from anxiety and chronic cystitis. I know everything they need for proper care.
Another person from my rescue would care for them but not the way I do. A few occasions when I went away, Princess did not do well. So there you have it. She literally saved my life.
Have you got a story to share? Drop us an email today!
Thanks,
Marc
Incredible story! We live for our 4-footed families. Her kitties are very lucky to have her, too.
My last cat I had was all me and did not want to be apart from me. She didn’t cope well when I had a 5 day holiday. I never went on another 5 day while I had her. As much as she was looked after well in our own home, she wanted me.
I had her at one of my lowests moments. She kept me going. So I know this with yours. ?
So true our babies are a blessing
Thank you for sharing my story. As you may guess, Princess and Rosie are my lifelines now more than ever with this quaranteen due to Covid-19. They are keeping me sane and safe. Cats are a blessing to us all
So very true I love my boy with all my heart he’s 13 now.x???
My cats keep me getting up each morning now that I am retired. I’m a depressive too,
I am glad you are still here. Cats are a true blessing!
