Mews: Longest domestic cat (ever)

Hi everyone,

The Guinness World Records kindly gave us permission to repost some of their cat world records as part of their 2016 book which is available in stores!

Today we are looking at the Longest domestic cat (ever)

The longest domestic cat ever was Mymains Stewart Gilligan (aka Stewie) at 123 cm (48.5 in) long. He was owned by Robin Hendrickson and Erik Brandsness (USA) and was measured on 28 August 2010. Stewie passed away in January 2013.

Stewie was a Maine Coon.

Aw sorry to hear he went to the Bridge. I love his name– Family Guy! I don’t know how ling my Holly is, will have to measure. She is usually very small and compact but when she stretches out she’s like an accordion 😀
