Three Day Fantastica Event!!

3 DAY INTERNATIONAL CAT SHOW

MARCH 2018!

Hi everyone,

Our  Show Calendar is starting to fill up with all the wonderful Cat related events that we are planning to attend in 2018. Coming up next month will be a three day event organised by the Fantastica All Breed Cat Club in Swindon, Wilts (UK). It will be their 3rd annual event and promises to be the biggest and best yet in a new west England venue.

Here’s a little more about the organisation and this year’s event as provided by Peter Monk, the President of the club.

Fantastica All Breed Cat Club

Formed in 2014, we held our first TICA Show in June 2015 in Bristol, this was such a success we decided to continue. We wanted to differentiate ourselves from the many other shows and therefore we decided to introduce a twist on the fun element by adding a Best of the Best awards to the Cats, Kittens, Alters and House Hold Pets (HHP) who scored the most points during the weekend. But also added an Overall Best in Show element awarded by our Head Judge which added a touch of excitement to the proceedings.  Our commitment to education and information to all our exhibitors, judges and visitors is a cornerstone of our Charter. We therefore invite special guest speakers to hold seminars for all, this year is cat nutrition, in the past we have covered other subjects such as HCM and introducing new breeds.

Our second show was held in March 2017 in Yate, South Gloucestershire. This was our first venture into a 3 day show, again it was a great success, where we introduced new judges rarely seen in the UK as well as old favourites, this appeared to work as we attracted exhibits from all over Europe and as far afield as China.

March 2018 will be our largest ever and the largest International Cat Show in Europe. It’s also another new venue, this time to be held in Swindon, we will have 20 rings over three days, again inviting judges from across a wide spectrum singling out the best available from; Canada and North America but also the UK, Belgium and Austria. We remain open for entries to the shows until 26th February 2018. We have a wide range of sponsors and vendors supporting the show, including Drove Vets, Vets Kitchen and Royal Canin. Doors open to the show to members of the public from 4pm on Friday and 10 am on Saturday and Sunday. Entry fees are £5 per person, £12 for a family of four and concession fees for OAP’s and children under 16 of £1.50 per person.
