Spring has officially arrived according to the calendar, promising warmer days and sunshine! I haven’t quite discarded my hat, scarf and gloves just yet but the extra minutes of daylight are certainly welcome, working in my studio with real sunlight is so much nicer than artificial light.
Outside everything is starting to finally wake up and grow new shoots and flowers, and the cats seem to sense something in the air too now the season has changed, with many venturing all four paws outside with greater enthusiasm, showing more energy and like their human friends and family shrugging off the winter blues.
I’m seeing lots more of my local feline friends too when I’m out in my garden, who seem to be waking up even earlier to come and say hello, announcing themselves more vocally than usual before retiring to observe (and probably judge) my gardening skills from the sunny wall at the back of my garden. Spring is here 🙂
With Spring comes Easter, this year Easter Sunday falls on April 16th, and I have been inspired to mark the occasion with something illustrated and cat shaped (and much less calorific than a chocolate egg) my new cat and chick illustration, featuring my original illustration of a long haired grey and white cat, happy with his new yellow chick friend… available as a signed 8 x 10 inch art print and also a cute square greeting card with matching sunshine yellow envelope.
Both available from my Teeth and Claws Shop –
And in my Etsy shop too – Teeth and Claws on Etsy – Cats

These look fabulous! Full of character and I’m sure will bring a smile to the race of every recipient!
Obviously, I meant ‘face’, not ‘race’!

Nicola – I love your cat designs, particularly the Birman as at closely resembles my favourite breed, the Ragdoll. I also love how you see just a glimpse of the cat’s fangs in your designs, very cute 😀
Thank you Rose, I’m pleased you like my cats! 🙂 I love Ragdolls too, beautiful looking cats! All my cats seems to have little fangs, it seems to suit them…
