Hi everyone,

It’s Oliver here today! 😀

Oliver: And they smell darn good as well… Chicken!

Oliver: Hmm… These are not yet open so I can’t smell test them. I guess the humans don’t want to waste them. 😮

Nubia: These are yummy! Just right. <3

Nubia: Right before I let you go… Let me tell you more about these crunches and why they are good. 😀

Nubia: The two flavours we received are the Chicken Drumstix crunches and Gone Fishing crunches! Both of these are high in meat content to ensure my brother (the fast food lover) and me get all the nutrition we need!

Oliver: Who are you calling fast food lover???

Nubia: Let me finish… So as for the Chicken Drumstix Crunches they consist of:

56% Chicken & Egg (Includes 20% Chicken, 20% Dried Chicken, 11% Dried Egg, 2.5% Chicken Stock, 2.5% Chicken Fat), Brown Rice, 11% Dried Fish, Oats, Salmon Oil 1%, Seaweed, Vegetable Fibre, Dried Tomato, Dried Carrot, Dried Cranberries

And the Gone Finishing Crunches consist of:

75% Salmon, Fish, Chicken & Egg (includes 26% Salmon, 18% Dried Fish, 17.5% Dried Chicken, 5% Dried Egg, 4% Chicken Fat, 2.5% Chicken Stock, 2% Salmon Oil) White Rice, Potato Starch, Pea Starch, Oats, Dried Tomato, Seaweed, Vegetable Fibre, Dried Carrot, Dried Cranberries

What we like about these is the fact that they are using rice instead of the evil cereals that most suppliers hide in our food. And if you look at the percentages there is only a little bit of this in here as it’s mostly meat, egg etc. 😀

What many people forget is that we don’t need carbs! 🙁 So these crunches are a great alternative that isn’t too expensive. 😀 A 1.5kg bag RRP is £11.99.

Of course as with any dry food it’s a good idea to supplement this with wet food! The good news Meowing Heads also has REAL chicken drumstix in their selection of cat food available here.

Oliver & Nubia: At this point we would like to say a big thank you to the team behind Meowing Heads for letting us try out these new flavours. Which both of us very much enjoyed. 😀

  1. I’ve been super busy and haven’t been getting my Oliver and Nubia fix enough. Thank you for this post, and for the helpful food information. Finding good quality foods for kittehs can be difficult and you two always make it easier, although I don’t think this particular brand is available in the U.S. 🙁
