While on the lookout for tasty but healthy snacks we came across Thrive cat treats.
Nubia loves freeze dried meat and the Thrive beef sure are niw on the top of her list.
We bought the MaxiTube which contains 110 gram of the beef cubes! (Certainly best value for money if you know your cat likes these treats!)
What we like most about them is that they are 100% beef. There are no additives or other contents – It really is just high quality beef.
As for the analytical content:
- Crude protein 77.3.%,
- Crude fibre 0.5%,
- Crude oil & fat 12.7%,
- Crude ash 4.3%
So what do the cats say to it?
Oliver: *Sniff sniff* What’s this?
Oliver: Right so where is the gravy on this???
Nubia: OMC! Is this freeze dried beef? I want… it… @_@
Nubia: *Snap Dragon attack*
As you can see Nubia LOVES freeze dried food… Got to say we were lucky that she didn’t take off our hand in that snap dragon attack of hers LOL. Noticed how her body didn’t move at all for that? Yep all from her head and mouth. 😉
Oliver on the other hand is a gravy cat so it took a bit of convincing for him to try it but 50/50 is not bad in a cat house hold as you all probably know! 😉
So our over-all rating for these?
They really are great as mentioned above they don’t contain anything but freeze dried meat and are therefore a very healthy snack for your cats and the ideal thing to try out if you want to move away from snacks high in grains.
The important thing to remember is that these are snacks – they are not designed to replace the main food of your cat! They should be a reward for your friend such as us using them in our Catit Food Maze. 🙂
If you’d like to purchase this for your own cats you can find the large pack (110gram) here for £15.43 on Amazon UK.
