Cat Writers Association Announces 2021 Virtual Conference October 22-23 Second Chances: Mind, Body Soul

(Columbia, S.C. September 3, 2021) — After a tough year of a pandemic and strife in the world, the Cat Writers Association would like to invite writers, journalists, bloggers, photographers, graphic designers, social media influencers and anyone who communicates about or promotes cats to attend our annual conference which will be held virtually this year.

The theme of our conference is Second Chances: Mind Body Soul. The weekend long event is an opportunity to learn more about cat health, behavior and enrichment and hear from some of the best cat communicators in the world, whether they are photographers, social media influencers, bloggers or best-selling authors. The conference is also a fundraising event and second chance for the felines of Help with Cats, a Phoenix non-profit that brings together existing rescue groups and volunteers to pool resources for large-scale Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), which is the only way to humanely control feral cat populations

The charity was selected by the conference’s keynote speaker, Kate Benjamin, a cat interior design expert. Kate’s website, hauspanther, is the top online resource for design-conscious cat lovers. She has been interviewed as a cat style expert by major media throughout the world. Kate works extensively with animal welfare organizations across the country to create beautiful, enriched environments for shelter cats. Her passion and mission are to use design to make the world a better place for cats and the people who love them.

Other speakers include Fear Free Founder Dr. Marty Becker, TNR expert and champion for diversity in animal welfare Sterling “Trapking” Davis, and Chloe DiVita, co-founder of All Pet Voices, a pet-focused media company that creates content for pet lovers in partnership with pet experts and brands. Many more speakers will also be featured.
