ANOTHER POEM ABOUT ONE OF OUR CATS

Mr. Big Eyes, ears set back
sits atop the stairs
his amber flashlights in the dark
can catch one unawares
so helpfully he calls out loud
to let one know who’s there
then all can sleep in calm and peace
as Mr. Big Eyes purrs.
