Foxy

We must be mad, but we once adopted three kittens from Romania at the same time. When Chai was found so terribly injured in a Constanta park, she was treated at the vet and then cared for by my friend in an apartment where she keeps some of her rescues. I had already said I would pay for Chai’s treatment and that we would also adopt her. A few days later another kitten was rescued – found hiding under a car in the middle of the night. Foxy was so small that my friend put her with Chai so they could keep each other company. They bonded straight away and it was with some alarm that I was sent videos of them charging round the apartment as Chai recovered from two broken legs (among her other injuries).

Foxy is a timid little thing and it soon became clear that they would have to be adopted together. (That makes two I know and I will write about DeeDee in another blog post later). She has made other friends here since and in fact, Bijou seems to regard the little scrap as her daughter. One of her favourite spots is on the window sill in the front room. She can be seen there in the featured image above. I love that you can see her profile and also the front of her face in the reflection. She’s a pretty little cat.

Here she is in another favourite spot, on the bed in the afternoon sun.
