Tips & Advice: Why do cats Chatter starring “Oliver’s war cry”

So I managed to record a video of Oliver the other day “clicking away” but have you ever wondered why cats do this noise?

Scientist have various theories behind this some of them thinking that the cats are trying to imitiate their prey and others saying that this is down to the anticipating of catching their prey or in the case of house cats the frustration of not being able to catch that juicy bird!

I recently read an article in a German magazine that looked at some case studies of feral cats who actually managed to fool and lure in prey with their “chatter” so this does seem probable!

Whatever the true reason it sure is super cute when you hear your little house-tiger make the clicking chatter noise!
