Hi everyone,
As many probably know by now we have done some extensive cat spotting in Japan on our holiday! 😉
One of our highlights was the visit to the Cat Cafe てまりのおうち(Temarinoouchi). Their Japanese website can be found here.
I loved the entrance! It feels like you are stepping into a world from Studio Ghibli. As with most cat cafes you have to wash your hands prior to entering btw.
This was certainly the largest cat cafe that we have visitted. There is plenty of space for the cats and human visitors alike.
They even painted the ceiling to make it appear like a magical forest. 🙂
Of course the cats weren’t missing! I just happen to have focussed on the place itself first haha. 😉 Here is the first of the local residents resting on a cute cat scratcher 😀
Here is a little video of the first 2 cats we met in the cafe!
And another picture of me! I couldn’t resist taking this. It was such a cute little dwarf house and shows how mad Japan is over Halloween. LOL
Oli and nubia are demanding wall platforms on our wall at home after seeing this one haha. 🙂
Isn’t this little fella just too cute on it’s little perch? 😀
I had never met a Munchkin before!!! But all I can say is that they are just too cute. <3
Not that scottish fold are any less cute but when again aren’t all cats cute?

What a paradise for cats, and cat lovers.
Thank you 🙂 and yes this one is well worth a visit ^^
It seems like we have entered a Movie of… Katzenworld 😀 The place looks like magic indeed. I have to pack now…I’m on my way to Dreamland..Pawkisses for a Happy Day 🙂 <
The key-ring has arrived. It is beautiful. Thank you so much, Marc. Granny will post about it later this week, she has troubles with her eyes, so she can't be on the Internet to much. <3
Haha thank you ^^ and don’t worry – I am glad it got to you ok! 🙂
Very cool!
Thank you 🙂
Cute
Very nicely done!
Thank you ^^
There should be cat cafes everywhere! Such a wonderful thing for travelers who are missing their furry ones back home. I’ve been known to stalk cats when I travel….just to have the touch of fur against my hand.
Haha same as me!!! And yes they are lovely 🙂
I love the doors on that cat cafe. What a beautiful place for humans and cats to enjoy!
Indeed ^^ and it felt very spacious. 🙂 many more photos to follow soon! 😀
Oooooooh my KATS! I love that place! A kat like me could have so much FUN!
Now I have to con the human into redecorating the house fur me so or looks like that! *(plotting)*?
That should be easy! Just make her watch spirited away (anime) and she will want to re-decorate in this style. 🙂
Wow! That is what it reminded me of come to think of it.
🙂 it’s one of my favourite anime
I wrote a post about this cafe last month. Looks so magical! This will be added to my bucket list. ?
Haha thank you ^^ and yes this was one of the best cat cafes we went too 🙂 I have been to three in Japan, 1 HK, 1 Thailand and the London one ^^ but this was the most magical atmosphere one 😀
This is really cool! I love the way they’ve decorated it. I think it would be an awesome place to visit if I ever have the opportunity to go to Japan.
It sure is. If you ever do a trip to Japan I can give you other travel tips too. 🙂
Wow, I’d love to visit…but its not likely. Maybe one day mom will visit. I’m trying to talk mom into getting the ceiling painted like a forest but she’s not buying the idea. I don’t know why not….we could all sleep under the stars and rise to beautiful blue skies if we go in the dining room.
(((Shoko)))
Same tip as for shrimp. Have her watch spirited away to see how beautiful it would be to do it! 🙂
I adore Maru the cat and laugh silly when he gets into the box, I cried when fum the cat of ‘fum and gebra’ died, my heart melts for those stories in lovemeow.com and now I have discovered one more place which shares my <3 for cats! Awesome blog Marc-André. Thanks for leading me to your page! I would surely devote my attention to follow your catty stories 🙂
Awww thank you! ^^ so glad you like our stories 🙂
That looks like a great place. I am going to the one in NYC this month, I can’t wait.
OMC – can you take photos and do a cross post on our Blog about that one? 😀
Looks like so much fun for you and your cats.
Thank you ^^
That almost made me cry. 🙂
Haha. You have to go! 🙂
