Friday Art Cat: The Curled Siamese

FRIDAY ART CAT

The Curled Siamese

Siamese.

Caran D’ache pastel pencils on tan coloured Kraft paper, 8×11 inches.

This is a very quick pastel sketch of a Siamese cat.  It was licking its chest, or maybe simply looking down at its cute toes – I can’t remember which!

I absolutely love their beautiful colour, and their “points”…perhaps those Siamese owners out there could please tell me what the colour is technically called?

I’d be interested to read your comments.

Pretty rendering of the fur, and I love the arc of the cat’s back and neck. When I draw, I find it very hard to keep the proportions of a moving animal balanced. Yours is just perfect!

Wow. I really like that. Siamese are classy cats. They just have such an elegance and intrigue about them naturally. 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
