Ever Wondered How Much Sleep you Have Lost Due To to Your Furry Friends?

Hi everyone,

Now I am sure we can all agree on how much we love our furry family members and each and every one of us would most likely do ANYTHING to make them happy.

But how many of us have lost sleep thanks to their nightly activities? A cat waking you up at 4 am for breakfast? The wall of death (only those with Oriental cats and similar breeds may understand this… yes they can and will run around the walls of your room without touching the floor!!!)

The fun The Lost Sleep Calculator For Pet Owners

allows you to add multiple pets (Cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits, birds) and will provide some fun facts on hours of sleep you lost or how many litter trays you’ve cleaned for your family!

Apparenly between our 4 we lost a combined amount of….

…228 days of sleep LOL

Let us know what your calculation comes back with in terms of hours or fun facts!

Full details below.

Thanks,

Marc

Online Tool Reveals How Much Sleep Pet Owners Have Lost Due To Their Furry Friends

A new tool has launched which allows users to see just how much sleep they’ve lost thanks to their pets.

It’s common knowledge that having a baby causes new parents to lose sleep, but pets are also guilty of keeping us up at night, with cat owners losing around 728 hours of sleep in the first year of owning a feline companion.

The Lost Sleep Calculator For Pet Owners’, created by the team at www.Hillarys.co.uk, calculates just how much sleep Britons are missing out on when they have pets in their home.

Alongside uncovering the amount of shut-eye missed out on, the calculator also reveals other ways pet owners have spent their time. For example, cat owners change around 730 litter trays in their first year of owning a cat, while rabbit owners clear out their bunny’s hutch around 208 times.

The site also highlights the effects of sleep deprivation on pet owners. One in eight pet owners admit accidentally mixing up their pet’s food with their own, while a quarter have said goodbye to their pet and forgotten about their spouse when leaving in the morning.

Tara Hall, spokesperson for www.hillarys.co.uk, commented:

“It’s easy to forget just how much owning a pet can turn your life upside down, and this tool just shows that. We love our pets, and everything that comes with them, but it is slightly worrying to hear that people are accidentally eating pet food!”

We hope you found this as entertaining as we did!

Let us know if you’ve got anything you’d like us to share. 🙂

Thanks,

Marc

You might not believe this, but Effie and Paladin sleep at night. They know enough to migrate to separate quarters so they won’t keep us awake with their yowling arguments. ?❤?

Having multiple cats multiplies the disturbances. It is not just wanting food–it is cats racing each other around the room, and jumping on or off the bed chasing each other, or jumping up and down from the window. Close the bedroom door you say! They scratch the door forever!!!

Oh yes… that’s exactly what happens at our place. One of the four has even got a new game jump through our blinds at night. In and out

Fun, perhaps, but cr**. All it asks is species of pet and how long I’ve had it. On that basis it said I’d lost 228 days. I was told I’d changed a thousand and something litter trays. I’ve changed none, The habits of one of my cats mean I’ve had hardly any interruptions to sleep and as for the other, she does wake me up most nights (and she has a habit of going out just when I’m ready to go to bed and may turn up at the front wanting to be let in, so that’s maybe ten minutes sleep delayed before I conclude she’ll be coming in the cat-flap). But if woken, I get back to sleep easily. Both cats expect to be fed when I get up after 7. Moreover, I suspect Suzy the cat cuddling up to me actually helps me sleep sometimes.
