Renegade & Nubia: The joy of a new Brush

Hi everyone,

It’s me Rennie here today! 😀

Rennie: My humans got this in the post! At first look I wasn’t sure what it was for though I recognised it’s a brilliantly cute cat design by Horitomo from Monmoncats.com 😀

Rennie: Aaaaah thanks for turning it over human! It’s a soft rubber brush that carries his beautiful artwork. And we know… how much I like being brushed *purrs*

Nubia: And what about me… I am the one that normally gets to use all brushes first!

Rennie: Sorry not today is sister. I am going first!

Rennie: A bit more over there… and don’t forget the difficult to reach places! Yes like the belly. *purrs*

Rennie: Yes this has to be my new favourite brush. 😀

Nubia: Right… now can it finally be my turn?!?

Rennie: If you must… 😮

Nubia: Well my brother is certainly right this is a beautiful designed brush and the rubber is just right not too hard and not too soft.

Nubia: Come on…. a little bit more at the base of my tail!

Rennie: Is it my turn again???

Nubia: *ROARS* Not yet! I am enjoying this…

Nubia: Considering our humans had only just brushed us the other day quite a lot of fur came off in this little session. 😮

Nubia: I think I may have to convince the humans to get another one o these so that one human can brush me and the other can brush my brother. <3

Rennie: Which brings us to where the humans can get one for their own feline friends! If you’d like to get one they can be purchased on the official Monmon Cats shop. After all brushing is perfect bonding time for most humans and cats. 😉

Nubia: Missed our previous post on some other cool products by Monmon Cats? Find them in the slider below!

Renegade: And if this is your first time reading about them don’t forget to check out the about them below.

About Monmon Cats:

This unique concept was born out of a combination of Horitomo’s two great passions in life- tattoos and cats. The word Monmon is a Japanese term for tattoo and the term Monmon Cats was perfect to describe his tattooed cat art. Since the publication of his book, Monmon Cats, they have been making prints, apparel and other merchandise and strive to uphold the high quality standard exhibited in his art.

Horitomo has been tattooing for over twenty years and is well versed in Japanese tradition including tebori (Japanese hand tattooing). He currently works at State of Grace Tattoo in San Jose, CA. He has done extensive design work for Sega Game Systems and has also exhibited at the Asian Art Museum San Francisco as well as the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. He is the author of two books; Monmon Cats and Immovable.

Oh yes… and I wasn’t even that close with the camera a lot louder when you hear it in real life. LOL

Liked the post about the new cat brush. Your cats coats look silky and shiny what’s your secret? Just to let you know I had to use the search bar to find the post since the link didn’t find the post when I clicked the link. enjoyed the post. This brush would make a great worldwide giveaway. Just suggesting.

I know right! Stylish and functional. And I have a special place for Japanese designs in my collection. ?

I’d love to see a future post about Horitomo’s cat art and tattoos. His studio isn’t that far from where I live, and I’ve been thinking of getting a Japanese-style cat tat: but it’s really hard to find an artist who does high quality Japanese-style tattoos.

Oh how cool! I’d love to meet him one day. We are actually planning to feature an interview style post about him and his work. 🙂

And yes I know what you mean about artists that can do that. My friend who did my sleeves sadly moved to another country and now I need to find a new artist or travel. :/
