Oliver: Chilling away from the heat!

Is it hot and muggy at your place too?

IMG_3947

I decided the best course of action for me is too hide downstairs with the shoes…

So cool and perfect to relax. <3

🙂 he really enjoyed this as it was far too hot the last few days we always found him downstairs with the shoes LOL

Lena stays in the air-conditioned comfort of the house, stretched out on the cool tile floors…often right underfoot! But then, she IS Queen of the House, so I guess she can lie down where she pleases and we humans will walk around and over.

Excellent idea to stay in the air con House haha.

And yep that’s the same with our king and Queen they do what they want and where they want LOL.

Our kitties have been finding it very difficult. Especially the Ragdolls, and poor Cookie who has been we ring her cone of shame since last Wednesday. Can’t remove it until Monday. xx

    • Marc-André says:

Oh no what cone do you use? We’ve got some genius ones with air holes that help keep cats cool. 🙂

It’s just the one the vet sent her home with. We asked about using a blow up collar, or a soft collar, but they said they’ve had bad experiences with those. Is yours a normal plastic one, but with air holes? If so I might look for them and get one in just in case we need one again. Cookie gets her stitches out tomorrow, so collar can come off then thankfully! ?

Noticed them in shop the other day. Asked vet about them, but his concern is that the cats might be able to get the velcro undone on the removable part? Do you have any photos showing how well that part attaches please?
Cookie”s collar is off now, thankfully. Sadly her lump was an aggressive mammary tumour. There was a thin margin of healthy tissue surrounding it, so keeping fingers crossed for no more spread. She wasn’t spayed until around 1yr old. Found by RSPCA as a stray with kittens. ? Just highlights the importance of early neutering.

Hiya. Ah I’ll have a look for other photos or take a new one. The Velcro strip was tested by vets and charities btw. 🙂

My local vet got a bunch of them directly from the manufacturer for trying out and was very impressed with it. If your vet wants to try them out he can email me on my 4cats email address btw – marc@4cats.de and I could see if I can arrange for him to trial them as well.

You are welcome. :-). Remind me to send you extra pics on the weekend please. I’ve got a number of work events this week and will most likely forget over wise. 😡
