Guest Story: Mikey – A second chance and forever home!

Hi everyone,

Today’s guest post comes from Mikey and his forever human:

You see videos posted all over the internet of someone stopping traffic to rescue a kitten that managed to stray onto a busy roadway.  I have the pleasure of working with one of those people and blessed with the kitten (I’ve adopted him) that he saved.   I named him Mikey, after the man that rescued him. A cute 2 month old high spirted, sweet tabby kitten; that after 2 days has completely taken over my home and to my surprise easily made friends with my four year old black cat named Kit  (a.k.a. “The Beast”,  because he is the size of a small dog).

To date, Mikey is thriving and seems very happy in his new home.  He spends most of his time running around the house chasing and swatting at anything that moves, but I think his favorite game is tag with Kit.  He doesn’t meow he squeaks and he looks so cute when he stands up on his hind legs and swats both paws in the air like a Ninja.  He also enjoy sitting on my lap in the evening and giving me nose boops, check rubs and head butts.

It’s amazing how a little ball of fur can capture your heart.  I fell in love with him the moment I saw him. I am so happy that he has joined my family.

This was what he looked like when he was first rescued…
