This is really cool! I didn’t read the last post but it sounds really cool just looking at the pictures still! To bad my dogs don’t like to use items like this brush. They like to use sturdy and non bendable objects but this definitely sounds really good for cats!

Cool! My dogs don’t need that much brushing though so they would probably be better off with a nail trim even though it sounds like a really good invention.

Cats can be pretty rambunctious at times. We used to have to leash our cat, Ravi, that we used to own to the bath tub when we bathed him and he was always trying to escape. He was a very insane cat when it came to baths.

Heather said it’s best to trim a pets nails with someone they don’t know since the pet, a cat in this case, since they don’t know what that person is like so after one visit they’d know what the person is like and then it’s up to the pet to decide what he wants to do. In our case, Heather wraps the pets in blankets and then she uses a drimil nail trimmer. She does something that’s very interesting that I think is the main part of the whole nail trimming session that makes it work, she speaks to the pets like they’re humans.

A towel wrap is also a very good idea for smaller pets, like kittens, but not that much of a good idea for a grown up cat or dog. She uses that idea with my dogs because our dogs are so small and it works with them.

Like I said cats can be very rambunctious when it comes to grooming. There is probably other tips out there for cats specifically grooming wise.

You can reach Heather on her website at http://www.marinpetnails.com. She’s really amazing. She offers services to dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small rodents. She’s worked with Tula and Momar and she’s been able to do our dog Momar without him being insane while trimming his nails. With us he won’t even let us get close enough to his nail without him biting us and forcing us to quit. She was also able to do the same with our other dog, Tula. She would bite and it was much much harder than Momar’s bite since she has bigger teeth and she was able to conquer her issues as well. She didn’t have to hold her down while she trimmed her nails like we had to do in the past which was a much better decision for both us and Tula. She has her contacts page on her website where you can get in touch with her.

BTW, I definitely think you’re a professional with cats and pets but this is just a tip you can use.

            Thanks!

Hi Marc. I just sent in a photo of Tula and Momar for TRT next week. Who does it go to? Lady Joyful or you? Just wondering.

OH my goodness Sully will LOVE this! She loves being brushed, and is one of the few percent of cats that brush themselves. Now just to figure out a good spot if we win it! (Her birthday is in August so it would make a great birthday present!

Sully looks up at me and meows (I swear what sounds like) Please (without the L)

Can you please send me the link to the past post on this brush? I want to know more about it. It sounds pretty cool. I may change my mind. How long does it last?
