Book Mews & Worldwide Giveaway: They All Saw A Cat

Hi everyone,

Today we are looking at another adorable book from Chronicle Books whom is building up a record of books for young and old cat lovers alike at this rate!

The book is available as of today here in the UK. 🙂

They All Saw a Cat_FC

More details about the book below:

The cat walked through the world, with its whiskers, ears, and paws . . .

28943-3

In this glorious celebration of observation, curiosity, and imagination, Brendan Wenzel’s simple, rhythmic prose and ingenious illustrations take readers on an imaginary walk alongside a cat. But while a child sees a cat that is soft and fluffy, a goldfish only sees terrible yellow eyes distorted by the lens of his fishbowl, a mouse mostly registers ferocious teeth and claws, and a bat sees a cat-shaped collection of white dots illuminating the dark.

Each animal’s vision of the cat is informed by a combination of proximity, physiology and emotion, in a quietly brilliant demonstration of the power of perception.

28944-3

Our overall verdict: If you have children or are a fan of cute books aimed at those of us that have stayed young when look no further! A brilliant look at how the perception of something can be different depending on the person or in this case the animals that see the cat. 😉

Not convinced yet by this? Check out the book trailer below. 😀
