Oliver & Nubia: Bring it on! Food time with the SureFeed pet bowl

Hi everyone,

It’s Oliver here today! I’ve beaten my sister to the food!

Nubia: What a surprise… You bullied me out of the way you mean because I made it first!!!

Oliver: Small details… Anyhow! let’s get on with this.

Nubia: Yes let’s get on and I’m first! 😀

Nubia: So this is what it looked like when it first arrived! And I was curious if it already came with the food inside…

Oliver: Silly… of course not!

Nubia: Humans! Open this up go go. 😀

DSC08803

Nubia: What! It’s empty!

DSC08805

Oliver: See told you! But wow it opened for me unlike the other feeder the humans got for us?!? That one was set to only allow you…

DSC08806

Nubia: Will you feed us please? 😀

DSC08807

Nubia: Hmmm…. No this doesn’t taste nice…

DSC08808

Oliver: The humans are incredible slow today o.O

DSC08809

Oliver: Oh… What’s this! It looks nice…

DSC08810

Oliver: Right…

DSC08811

Oliver: Delicious. 😀

Oliver: *Slurps*

Oliver: Now that I finished the starter… Can we have more?!?

Nubia: Vielfrass… You didn’t leave me ANYTHING.

DSC08824

Nubia: Now that looks more like it!

Nubia: My chicken 😀

DSC08829

Oliver: I want some too…

Oliver: *Yummy*

Nubia: Right but what is the idea behind this you wonder? We shall tell you!

Nubia: Unlike the previously reviewed SureFeeder this one is a motion detection feeder meaning it will open for either myself or my brother. 😀

Nubia: Still wondering what the point of this would be? Well that’s simple… Let’s say you too have a sill brother like myself that will lick away all the juices of the chicken!

Oliver: Hey now! I am not that bad!

Nubia: Right… Let me finish! So what happens to the chicken during the day if most of its juices are gone? As it’s exposed to air it will dry out MUCH quicker than it would do covered in juices… Once it’s dry my brother won’t touch it and I’m stuck hungry having to eat dry bits of meat. 🙁

Nubia: The solution to this problem is this lovely little device! 😀 Once either my brother or me are finished eating from it the flap will automatically close. See the rim of the bowl above? Yes the lid shuts this tight enough to seal the bowl! Meaning it’s much less likely to dry out. 😀

Oliver: YES! That means I get to eat all the chicken during the day!!!

Nubia: One downside of this… Brother won’t even leave me dry bits. ;( But luckily I’ve still got my personal Feeder for emergency muahaha!

Nubia: The humans asked us to also provide you with the following specs of the SureFeed pet bowl:

Do you know of a good timed release feeder that I could use when I am gone for a few days? I bought one, but my cat figured out how to stick her paw up into it and knock the dry food down.

    • Marc-André says:

Yep 😀 they’ve got another one that is controlled through a microchip reader so you can set it not to allow some of your cats to eat from it.

Btw… Was the newsletter pop up for none WordPress users ok for you? (Trying to gauge how people perceive it and to make sure it’s not too annoying!)

I’m a WordPress user, but it still did pop up for me. I learned, though, that you can subscribe to categories? I wasn’t aware that was an option! So that’s good to know!

        • Marc-André says:

Ah the pop up newsletter is using mail chimp and the newsletters are triggered based on the WordPress categories. It’s a nifty little new integrations look for the mail chimp widget. 🙂
