Oliver & Nubia: suitcases again!?!

Hi everyone,

It’s Nubia here! Can you believe that our humans once again are abandoning us??? Well not really because their cousin Martin is staying and looking after us but come on… WHY would you leave us here and not take us with you! 🙁

My brother did a very good attempt at sabotaging the packaging process…

Oliver: It didn’t quite work tho sis… So instead we tried to hide inside the suitcases.

Oliver: Look I fit in the suitcase!

Nubia: And I am quite snuck in the other suitcase. <3

Oliver: Last attempt! Sitting on the suitcases!!!

Nubia: Can you guess where they are off to? The hint lies in the picture of me in the suitcase next to a box with foreign characters! 😀

Well I suppose we should be glad that we have a full time cat sitter in the form of Martin who will be looking after us the WHOLE time. 😀

Plus the humans will bring back many presents so that makes up for it!

    Catan?
The game-fair in Essen (Spieletage) is in Octobre.
The foreign signs could mean Japan, of course – again …

You would not like going there with them – as you would have to stay in – quarantine for half a year when returning! Be glad you stay behind!

Ah Japan is correct! They wouldn’t have to stay in quarantine for 6 months though if they had a pet passport (which they don’t unfortunately xD ) because Japan has an arrangement with the U.K. For easy in and out as long as the pet passport is there and they have all of the necessary jabs. Might be different into the rest of the EU though that would be weird o.o

Well, I am way older than you are (I am 47) – have been there in the 90ies several times. With friends, with my sister, with my cousin … Once I helped introduce the Plüsch, Power & Plunder 2n Ed. roleplaying game … Yeah, I know, I am weird.

Oh, suitcases… I hated when mom put them out, that was a way to tell she would going on a travel. I tried everything: sitting, sleeping on it , once even I vomited a hairball on her suitcase… she just left…she didn’t even take the hairball with her as a souvenir to remember me. Fortunate my granny was our full-time sitter… she made it up with a lot of treats.
I think they go to Japan and they have certainly a good choice of game!

    Purs,

I am sure you’ll be fine with a catsitter in da casa and good prospects when your peeps are coming back, but I have to admit letting go isn’t the easiest part. Pawkisses and Gute Reise 🙂 <3 <3

My cats do that also. Not sure if it is merely curiosity about a new object in their environment or if they really know you are going somewhere and they want to go too or stop you from leaving. I never get to go anywhere without my clothes being full of cat hair. The dog travels well… but the cats?… No. Cats do not like change.

I’m convinced they know it means travelling and want to stop us. We tried packing and leaving the suitcases in the spare room for a week before our holiday. The second we tried to leave they were on top of them 😉

What is it about cats and suitcases? They either lie in them because they want to go with you or they run away because they’re afraid they have to go in the car. Japan sounds like fun. From blogs I have seen they seem to be a cat loving country. I don’t know if that’s true, though.

This would explain why I put all the things I’m going to pack in a laundry box. I get the suitcases out the day I pack & go. That way, Jamima knows something is about to happen but that’s about it……Also the Rescue Remedy on her fur & in her water is also good. And lastly, something snugly that smells like me left on the bed………..

Coco: O.k. Oliver, I got lost, where you say, about the hint as to where the humans are going???
Please make sure that both of you are out of it, or else you both will end up in another city!!
