Let Me Help!

Let Me Help!I’ve recently taken up cardmaking as a hobby. It’s a lot of fun and has definitely been a good way to unwind from a hard day of work!

But you’re not hear to read about cardmaking. You’re hear for cats. And it just so happens that Sampson relates to the subject of my cardmaking. How does he relate?

Well, because he apparently wants to help me with it. All the time.

If I’m sat at the table with paper, stamps and ribbon all around me, he’ll hop up to see what I’m doing. He’ll walk over the papers, swipe at the scissors as I’m trying to cut something, play with the bits of ribbon.

Let Me Help! 2And when I’m trying to photograph the cards he comes to help with that too. It’s like he has some sort of sensor that tells him I’m doing it. Even if he was nowhere in sight he’ll suddenly appear, walking in front of the card to inspect it, pushing at the camera to make sure I get the perfect shot. He’s so… helpful..!

It is of course very sweet of him to want to be with me when I’m working on my hobby, but it sure can be inconvenient at times. Bless him.

Love,

Lady Joyful

A helpful cat is a clever cat! Artemis loves to help out when we are on the boat – the minute the tool locker is opened. she dives in to fetch the correct item. When the tool box is out, she sits on the lid. When we are measuring something, she likes to use the ruler too. And when there’s painting or varnishing needed, she sits really close with her nose next to the brush, in order to inspect the work……

When writing anything, Sonu Singh wants to help! If I’m ironing, he likes to look after the warm clothes, and leave his hair all over them too! If we are trying to knit, he wants to assist with the wool… His helpfulness us never ending! ?

Our Kosmo does everything with my husband. They are allways together inside to house, Kosmo doesn’t want to go out. When my husband goes out the cat watches from windows what he is doing there. They sleep together, they wake up at tha same time…

Count Vronsky, my Russian Blue rescue cat helps me write by sitting on my keyboard and gazing thoughtfully out the window. He also loves Legos, helpfully batting the pieces we don’t need into the floor.

What a gorgeous cat! It’s hard to be annoyed by their interference given how adorable they are, right? My older cat mostly ignores my art work but my kitten likes to wander all over my art table. Last week he strolled right through a watercolor painting that was still drying. I’ve had to switch to using a water pot with a screw top lid to prevent him spilling it. His desire to “assist” is sweet but he’s very much a hindrance rather than a help.

One of my cats is black with white on her chest like your Sampson.
I have two cats both of whom love to watch me do anything including loading the dishwasher, put on makeup, type on my blogs and anything that doesn’t make loud noises!! lol

We cats know how to be helpful, but some humans seem not to appreciate it. We don’t understand why… Purrs

I do a few crafts, including crochet, cross stitch, scrapbooking and sewing. The cats just love to help with all of them, if running off with my scissors, chewing the yarn and trying to swipe my threads can be classed as helping. I often give up and play with them instead which is possibly why they do it 😉
