Elvis has always been fond of a nice bed. Back in our old flat, our bed was one of his favourite places to sleep. He also liked to come in and snuggle on the bed with us in the mornings, if we were being lazy and not getting up.
We recently had guests over, and they slept on an airbed in our living room. Elvis was very happy about that arrangement – both the guests, and the airbed! It was seeing that happiness that made me realise how much he probably misses being able to get to our bed.
Our room has been off limits pretty much since we moved in, because all the boxes that have not yet been sorted (almost six months later!) are in there, and we don’t want the cats getting in amongst all that clutter.
The downside of that is that Elvis doesn’t get to sleep on the bed anymore. And it means he doesn’t cuddle with us as much, because on the bed was his favourite place to do that. (Second favourite was the sofa, and we don’t currently have one!)
I guess sorting our bedroom needs to move up the priority list… Elvis needs “his” bed back!
