Oliver & Nubia: The sky’s the Limit!

Hi everyone,

It’s me Nubia again and as promised earlier I am back observing my brother as he is trying to get on top of our new cat scratcher!

Nubia: Come on Oli hurry up and get up there!

Oliver: Why don’t you try if you know everything better…

IMG_2483

Oliver: Maybe I can get up here?

Nubia: I am not convinced…

IMG_2484

Oliver: Look!!!! I am getting up!

Oliver *falls off with a noise*

Nubia: Ooops I guess I’ll have to wait a bit for my treats…

IMG_2488

Oliver: Lets try it on this side…

Nubia: I’ll wait here… Tell me when you are up.

Oliver: Or maybe here?

IMG_2491

Oliver: Yes this looks good… Time to climb!

Oliver: *Huff Huff* I am getting there!

Nubia: Watch your step!

Oliver: Almost…

Nubia: Why do I have the feeling I SHOULD move…

IMG_2494

Oliver: Just a little bit more…

IMG_2497

Oliver: I can smell the snacks!!! So close!!!!

Thank you all for your wonderful comments, they will continue to inspire me!

Marc-Andre I notice you have had a dabble at re-twisting the cardboard inserts! Hopefully, these couple of tips will help:
    * Remove some of the weight loading down by unscrewing the oak nut and removing the top oak compressor.
    * You may find it easier to create a different design by straightening up the cardboard inserts to begin with so they are all in line with the bottom oak compressor.
    * Begin at the bottom.
This has given me an idea to make a recording showing the creation of different designs ;D

I am not surprised someone wanted to sit upon the top. It would tip over for certain. I do not know if it is a DNA strand or an incomplete Mobius strip.

How enjoyable to watch these photographs 🙂 Thank you so much, I am sure at the end they will reach to the top! Actually it is their Himalayas…. Have a nice evening and weekend, love, nia

That picture of poor Nubia realizing Oliver was about to crash down on her is priceless. 🙂 Adorable blog! Oliver is my favorite name and in fact was the name of my best kitty friend ever! My own truck house is named for him….miss him every day. That Nubia is a gorgeous girl. 🙂

I’ll definitely keep that in mind! I’m really curious to see how my young guy Leo takes to living on the road. My other two are older and mostly sleep these days, so I expect they will be on the bed under the window for the most part….not much exciting there, hehe. I plan on taking Leo out on a leash for walks and staking him out to “run loose” as often as possible and safe.
