Oliver & Nubia: Snack & Playtime

Hello everyone,

It’s Oliver here! Today the humans got us a SlimCat Ball from PetSafe (Are they trying to say I am getting fat???).

The ball was filled with these super tasty herbal treats from Verm-X so of course I wanted to go straight in there…

Oliver: Come on humans unpack it so I can play with it! 😀

Nubia: Calm down brother! They will get to it in a moment. I hope. 😮

Oliver: I had to push it around quite a bit to get stuff out of the ball… Much much energy used on getting my treat. I guess that’s why it’s called slimming!

Nubia: You needed to loose some weight anyhow so it is all good! 😉

Oliver: Mean sister… 🙁

Oliver: I finally managed to get it out woohoo 😀

Oliver: They were so tasty… I want more… :O

I had to go through A LOT of “torture” though to get to it… Check out the video!

Now some details from our humans about the cat food and their verdict of it!

Overall verdict:
The PetSafe SlimCat ball sure was a quick and easy way to get Oliver to exercise for his treats rather than just scoff them up. The Ball comes with adjustable sizes for the holes which can easily be set to fit a variety of different snack sizes and not make it to easy for the cats (sorry Oli!) at a current price of £4.45 this sure is a quick, easy and cheap way to get extra environment enrichment and exercise for your fur-friend!

As for the snack we used Herbal snacks from Verm-X which contain a mixture of different herbs and real meat. The herbs promise to help digesting among other things due to their probiotic formula. The manufacturer advises to feed up to two snacks per day which is probably because they are quite large which also means Oli spends quite some time crunching them as you probably heard on the video. 😉 The treats are a bit more expensive at £7.90, however you get what you pay for! They contain natural ingredients and are free of cereals and other grains.

Both of our cats LOVED the snack and have been eating them every other day for a week now. 🙂

I have something similar, but I prefer to take one of those cardboard rolls inside loo paper or kitchentowel-rolls – those plastic balls are very loud on hard floor (anything non-carpet) – and I live in an appartment, not in a house of my own.

That’s a lovely toy-treats-ball, Oliver, but it looks like it takes hours before you are getting your treats….no wonder you lose weight in no time…MOL 😀
Pawkisses for an eggstra Happy Easter and hope your Easter Bunny Day is filled with fun in every way 🙂 <3

I believe my cats must be the only treat-resistant cats, they couldn’t care less. HOWEVER, they would never sell in Italy unless they changed the name, because VERM is too close to Verme, Worm. But also, it’s pretty close to Vermin! Not really a sweet choice of a name :/
The idea is cool though, I might try it at some point, for the slightly fatter white cat.

That’s a great idea – provides exercise and good food too! Probably, next they will come up with some such similar ball for obese folks, but those may have to be stuffed with crispy burgers or crunchy wafers/crispies, if not, beer cans … LOL ..! 😉
