Angel’s Eyes: Loving my Life Outdoors

Hello my friends, I would like to tell you about why I love to play outdoors. I know a lot of kitties are not as lucky as I am because they don’t get to play outside. So I want to tell you why it’s important to me to go outside.

Angel and the stick

First off I want to tell you that the Sunshine makes my heart sing! But remember if you are out in the sun to use sunscreen. Mom told me to add this because safety first- ( Use a non-toxic, hypoallergenic sunscreen formulated specifically for use on pets, as your pet could lick and ingest some of the product after it has been applied.) Also if you love to play with sticks make sure to be extra careful because you don’t want to poke yourself with it.. I’m extra careful.

Angel's coat on

Since we are talking about outdoor safety I would recommend to put a jacket on since our weather has been very chilly and summer isn’t here yet.

walk

Anyway to get back on track on telling you about me loving outdoors… Purrr….. I love to walk and watch the birds and hear them sing too but, walking is great exercise for me.

playing outside

I really do think that having a new adventure while you are outside is good for your soul or as I say good for you appetite because I am sure hungry after playing!

peek a boo

I know some of you already know one of my favorite games outside or inside is Peek a Boo!!

jungle

Can you guess my all time favorite thing to do outside? Well, If you guessed being in a jungle and hunting mice or birds then you are right!

angel and chair

I can also hide behind a chair and watch the birds eat worms from the yard.

Angel

I guess what I’m trying to say is that I Love my Life and I want all kitties to have such a blessed life like me so there hearts can sing too!

hahaha my dog was NOT happy about all the ooohs and ahhhhs you got from my daughter and I! He even pushed her away from the screen! Quite Lovely 🙂

what a beautiful kitty kat. Maybe one of the things she likes about being outdoors is having a log to claw and keep her nails in shape. I know my cat did (bless her heart, may she R.I.P.)

Austin. Maybe you are right but I think Angel was born to hunt she really enjoys watching the birds and bugs. I’m so sorry for your loss too I lost my other cat before Angel 3 month prior at age 21 years old. I really understand.

I do recommend a harness to teach them how to mind outdoors expecially if they are not familiar being outside. I have found Angel harness online on Amazon. You measure there neck and chest areas to determine the sizes. Breakaway collar are not good for leash walking because one good pull off they go…

Angel Eye’s, your tips for being safe outdoors was great. Kali and I lather up with “Kitty’s Sacred Sunscreen” before we leave the house. Unfortunately, its been raining for days…wish there was a rainscreen that would make this water go away.

Yes, we love to be able to enjoy the fresh air and sit in the sunshine as well. Have a great time! It’s finally spring. Man, what a winter that was….

I also think all living creatures need to get out in the sun – not for the vitamin D – they don’t get it from the sun, but simply because it makes us (human and cat) happy. We have a rough neighborhood (unleashed dogs, the occasional coyote and I’ve seen deer) so my boys don’t have free reign. I try for an hour supervised outside with harnesses and tethers – safe and happy.!

I totally agree that they need outdoor time, but I think supervision is a must now days. We also have dogs running around with no leashes here so I am very cautious about watching Angel outside.

What a lovely story and some stunning photographs Angel. My Bluebell loves it outside too! She likes to sit on our fence and watch the birdies. She doesn’t attack them though! She is a good girl. Xxxxxx
